Introduction
After joining WAY Trustees Limited as a T Level placement student in early 2026, I was delighted to secure a summer placement which led to a permanent position as Finance and Office Assistant. In my role, I support the Finance Team and wider office operations at WAY, from day-to-day financial administration to helping keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Alongside my work, I am studying towards the Level 4 CIMA Professional Accounting qualification through an apprenticeship as I work towards my long-term goal of becoming a fully qualified accountant.
Professional Background
My career journey began with a T Level in Business Management and Administration, which provided me with a solid grounding in finance, operations and business administration. As part of my studies, I completed my placement with WAY Trustees Limited, where I gained valuable hands-on experience and developed a strong understanding of the business. This was followed by a summer placement and, ultimately, a permanent role with the company.
Alongside my experience at WAY, I also worked as a Project and Administration Intern at Kier Construction, further developing my organisational, administrative and problem-solving skills. I balanced these opportunities with several hospitality roles, which helped strengthen my customer service, communication and people skills, shaping the people-first approach I bring to my work today.
Personal touch
When I’m not at work, you’ll often find me exploring Dorset’s beautiful countryside with my partner and friends, enjoying a local beer, or tucking into a Sunday roast. I’m also a passionate AFC Bournemouth supporter and can usually be found watching the match most Saturdays, often with my head in my hands! Outside of football, I spend my weekends DJing at local events and I’m currently working with friends to build our first sound system.
