Introduction
I have a long history at WAY, having joined in May 2003. I specialise in helping Financial Intermediaries to protect and preserve the ‘family wealth’ of their clients intergenerationally, via a range of flexible reversionary Trusts, whilst saving them Inheritance Tax (IHT). I look forward to helping WAY continue to build business and help families to achieve their long term goals and aspirations.
Professional Background
I have over 35 years’ experience in financial services and am level 4 Diploma qualified. I have extensive knowledge of Inheritance Tax mitigation planning, having been immersed in such planning since 2003. During that time I have played an integral role in many of the Trusts we still look after today – many after the demise of the person who set them up due to the flexibility of the WAY Inheritor Trusts.
I used my extensive knowledge in this area to the Office of Tax Simplification to provide suggestions to their Inheritance Tax Simplification Report in 2018. After meeting those involved I am proud to say several of my suggestions were included in their Final Report.
Personal Touch
Outside of work, I’m a Level 1 FA-qualified football coach. I’ve coached and managed junior teams that my daughter and son played for, and I now coach an adult ladies football team.
I enjoy travelling to different countries and experiencing different cultures (and better weather than the U.K.!)
